We had good memories of our last visit to Seoul and in particular the Korean desserts (see earlier post). So you can imagine our delight when we stumbled upon this Korean cafe selling coffee and desserts in the heart of Singapore’s CBD.
Tom N Tom Coffee is a modern trendy (but slightly untidy) cafe located in the Icon Village at Tanjong Pagar. It has TV screens that show KPop endlessly. It has quite an interesting selection of Korean desserts. Together with our Fruit Tea ($4.20), Tom Expresso ($6.20) and Cappuccino ($5.50) we ordered the Green Tea Bingsu ($11.90) as this was something we tried in Seoul and has good memories of. It certainly looks as good as the ones in Seoul but the taste was not quite the same, maybe about 80% of the real thing. We suspect it was because the tea was not as fragrant and the ice was not as finely shaved. But all in all it was a pleasant surprise to find this cafe. 80% is better than nothing.
