Ipoh Hor Fun at Holland Village

Ipoh Hor Fun at Holland Village1

The best thing about Holland Village is that there are many, many places to get a meal. There are restaurants serving almost any kind of cuisine and which cater to almost any budget.  After running some errands there the other day, I decided on some Ipoh hor fun for lunch from Yee Cheong Yuen Noodle Restaurant.

Yee Cheong Yuen has been at Holland Village for as long as I can remember but have modernised their premises from time to time to keep up with the times. It is a restaurant that serves quite a wide variety of food. But it is most well-regarded for its translucent, smooth hor fun. Actually, I can’t remember eating anything else at this place.

The takeaway container is the size of a large bowl, so the portion was quite large. I have also done some one-handed photography so you can see the hor fun and the pieces of chicken. As expected the hor fun was consistently silky and delicious. The soya sauce chicken was well cooked and moist. The gravy that smothers the whole thing is another reason why this dish tastes so good. Unfortunately, I can show you all the ingredients but not the taste. You will have to trust me on that! Oh and don’t forget to ask for chilli paste -it is also really good and complements the taste of the gravy.

There are some set meal options at the restaurant. Here are random pages from their menu in case you are interested:
