Marine Cove East Coast Park re-opens. The good old McDonald’s @ East Coast Park returns to the new Marine Cove with a fresh concept store. Marine Cove East Coast Park offers open spaces with a view of the sea, family friendly amenities and varied food and beverages outlets. A 3,500 sq m children’s playground with an 8 m lighthouse tower is a key attraction of the re-developed Marine Cove. Besides the new McDonald’s restaurant, an Indian-Muslim restaurant, a Peranakan restaurant, a retro-themed coffee shop offering local hawker favourites and a kids friendly hip cafe make Marine Cove an interesting dining destination. We take a quick tour of the restaurants and cafes at Marine Cove East Coast Park.
McDonald’s at East Coast Park is spacious with a nicely decorated air-conditioned dining area as well as a non-air conditioned area overlooking the children’s playground. The new concept McDonald’s at Marine Cove has a salad bar, a dessert bar, a signature collection plus an exclusive McCafe’s menu.
The signature collection means new premium burgers – like Spicy Chicken with Apple Slaw and Tortilla with Angus Beef. The Spicy Chicken with Apple Slaw is hot and spicy; and we found that the spiciness overwhelmed. The Classic Cheeses Burger with Angus Beef was very good.
Sandwiches and coffee are available form McCafe.

Children’s Playground at Marine Cove
The Children’s Playground at Marine Cove has a 8m high tower as its focal point. Modelled after a lighthouse and located in the centre of the playground, it consists of many play elements including slides, rope bridge and climbing net courses. Traditional swings and electronic interactive play equipment are found in the sprawling playground by the sea. The adults would appear to be enjoying the playground as much as the children.
Marine Cove is located at East Coast Park Area C and is accessible via East Coast Park Service Road. There is a new linkway connecting the dining outlets with the underpass to Marine Terrace.
There is a bus stop right next to Marine Cove. Service 401 (which only operates on Saturdays, Sundays and Eves of Public Holidays) serves East Coast Park with connections to Bedok, Marine Parade and Old Airport.
Surface Parking Lots are available at East Coast Park’s Car Park C2 and Car Park C3.

If the restaurants and cafes Marine Cove are too “family-oriented” for you, Georges Beach Club is not too far away; or head to Parkland Green to have a good strong drink.
