Crust Pizza has been delivering restaurant quality gourmet pizzas in Australia for many years. Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar opened its first store in Singapore in Holland Village in 2010 and have been making pizza deliveries to the surrounding areas like Bukit Timah, Orchard and Queenstown. Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar has a branch in Serangoon Garden to take care of deliveries to areas such Macpherson, Hougang, Punggol and Serangoon. At myVillage@Serangoon Garden, there is a small dining space, shared with One Man Coffee, where we can sit down and enjoy a pizza for dinner.
Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar is located in the basement of myVillage@Serangoon Garden. It is essentially a take-away counter with a small dining space. The place is pleasantly decorated and can accommodate about 16 diners.
The main items on the menu are obviously crust pizzas but Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar also offers salads, desserts and sides like chicken wings, truffle wedges and roasted potatoes. Below are pictures of random sections of the electronic tablet menu.
We wanted a quick bite in Serangoon Garden but there was a thunderstorm. One of the few places in Serangoon Garden where you can park and eat without getting rained on is My Village at Serangoon Garden, which houses a number of restaurants and interesting cafes, such as Little Wimbly Lu. We decided to try Crust Pizza and ordered a personal size Hawaiian Pizza ($18) and Honey BBQ Chicken Wings ($12). No GST or service charge was added to the bill.
At Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar the pizza is “gourmet” because each pizza is made using fresh ingredients only when the order is taken. The wait for the food was about 15 minutes. Water was served while the food was being prepared.
The Hawaiian Pizza was nicely presented on a wooden cutting board. It looked good and was quite delicious. The toppings were generous and big slices of ham were used. The crust was thin and crispy but with sufficient doughy substance so that we didn’t feel like we were biting into crackers. It was a light and tasty pizza which was enjoyable.
The Honey BBQ Chicken Wings were also good. The chicken was well roasted and there was a nice smokey scent. The meat was tender and the sticky sweet honey BBQ sauce was really quite appealing.
The next time we want pizza delivery, we would call Crust Pizza. It has a good variety of pizzas and the Hawaiian pizza we tried was a good quality and tasty pizza. At My Village, Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar is also a nice spot for a quick bite, especially if we can also get a cup of coffee from One Man Coffee.
