TOP Cake Cafes in Singapore – cake shops and places for dessert

Flor Patisserie

Cakes are a type of food that occupies a special place in our hearts (and our stomachs). On special occasions such as weddings and birthdays, we celebrate with a cake. Even on normal days we search for the list of top cake cafes in Singapore. We go to these pleasant places to escape from the humdrum of daily life.  Sometimes a slice of cake costs more than our lunch at the food court. But a beautiful cake in a peaceful setting never fails to brighten our spirits. Even better when it tastes as good as it looks. These days, thanks to the opening so many cake cafes in Singapore, we are spoiled for choice. Here is The Ordinary Patrons’ (TOP) list of our favourite cake cafes in Singapore.

Henri Charpentier

Henri Charpentier is famous for their Crepe Suzette. In fact Henri Charpentier is named after the 19th century French chef who was often credited as the creator of this sweet dessert.  Their new cafe at Tanjong Pagar Centre is not are glamorous as the one at Dempsey that is now closed. But they have enough of their wonderful cakes to remain on our list of TOP Cake Cafes in Singapore. The French-inspired Japanese patisserie also has a small outlet at Orchard Central.  Read Coffee and dessert at Henri Charpentier Tanjong Pagar Centre.

Lady M

Lady M Confections South Beach Avenue

Lady M Confections South Beach

We seem to have a weak spot for the Lady M cafes. We are drawn to them whenever a new store (or cake boutique as they are referred to) opens even though they all sell the same portfolio of cakes. Their attractive cafe designs, which are different at each store, make each visit an occasion. Read about our visits to the Lady M outlets at South Beach, Scotts Square and Orchard Central.
