We have 2 We Are Singaporeans trivia game show questions for you – Who is Jalan Eunos named after? and Which supplier of commercial kitchen equipment to F&B businesses in Singapore shares its showroom space with Nuevo Cafe?
The answer to the second question is…
KitchenHub – a commercial kitchen equipment specialist whose clients include hotels, membership clubs, restaurants, cafes, hospitals, schools and quick-service food chains. They supply and install products like chillers, ovens, kebab machines and dishwashers. Perhaps because they really wanted to understand the needs and challenges of their clients better, KitchenHub launched a new cafe – Neuvo Cafe – right next to their office and showroom space in Eunos.
Located in a light industrial building at Eunos Avenue 3, Neuvo Cafe is quite near SingPost Centre. According to our map app, it is a 13 minute walk from Paya Lebar MRT station.
The furnishing of Neuvo Cafe is fairly basic and functional. The most attractive things about the casual cafe are the impressive coffee machines and the pastry counter.
Menu Nuevo Cafe
Neuvo Cafe says that it offers a “taste of European cuisine with a chic touch of Japanese”. It serves breakfast, brunch lunch, dinner as well as beverages and cakes for any time of the day. Some items are only available on weekends. Photos of sections of its menu are below.
Weekend Dinner @ Neuvo
We were there on a weekend and ordered a Yakiniku Beef Ribeye with Sous Vide Egg rice bowl ($14) and Gourmet French Croissant with Tuna Mayonnaise ($4.50). There was a $9.90 Hot Tea/Coffee + Cake Set – so we had a hot coffee and a slice of Koro Gama (Black Sesame) Cake. We also tried their Signature Earl Grey Iced Tea ($3.50). GST would be added to the bill.
The Yakiniku Beef Ribeye rice bowl was good value for money. The beef slices were well prepared and tasty. The rice bowl was satisfying without leaving me feeling stuffed so that I still had room to enjoy the cake.
I would not say the Tuna Mayonnaise Croissant was particularly remarkable. The filling was generous and at that price it would be churlish to be critical of anything.
Coffee & Cake
Their coffee from Common Man Coffee Roasters was good. We liked the iced tea which had a light floral aroma and refreshing taste. The moist black sesame chiffon sponge with black sesame cream was not too sweet and was quite enjoyable.
Neuvo Cafe is a pleasant cafe for the average Singaporeans – with a fair selection of food at prices that are very reasonable. It is an additional option for the office crowd on weekdays and a welcomed alternative for brunch in the weekends. We would include Neuvo Cafe in our list of nice places in Eunos to have a meal or a coffee break.

Who is Jalan Eunos named after? Mohamed Eunos bin Abdullah – the first editor of Utusan Melayu, an influential Malay language newspaper. He was later elected president of the Malay Union and was a community leader dedicated to improving the welfare of the people. Mohamed Eunos and his associates were responsible for the building of a Malay settlement called Kampung Melayu as a way to preserve the essence of Malayness in the face of colonial rule. Kampung Melayu was later renamed Jalan Eunos to commemorate the legacy Mohamed Eunos bin Abdullah.
