D’life Signature Parkway Parade (Closed)

D’life Signature Parkway Parade Closed at the end of February 2019 – New outelt at 10 Sinaran Drive #B1-105/106/129 Square 2.

An eye catching SCMP headline may have announced that “Beer is good for your health” but a meat free meal is still the more conventional component of a healthy eating plan. 蔬品轩 D’life Signature is a new vegetarian restaurant in Parkway Parade which should appeal to the health-conscious food lovers. It is established by the owners of D’Life Bistro that is known for their reasonably priced meat-free menu.

蔬品轩 D’life Signature is located on level 1 of Parkway Parade, in the food wing where you will also find KFC, Starbucks and Yoshinoya. It is a casual diner with tables to cater to dining parties of various sizes.

D’life Signature Menu

D’life Signature’s menu is quite extensive. The vegetarian menu has items such as “fish” soup in claypot and minced “meat” tofu. There is a wide range of Chinese and local dishes, as well as Western dishes like pasta. Below are photos of sections of the D’life Signature’s menu.

Meat Free Dinner at D’life

We were at D’life Signature Parkway Parade for dinner. We ordered the Cereal Tofu ($10), French beans($10) and Sweet & Sour Golden Mushroom ($10). Plain steamed rice was $1.50 per plate.

The French beans with crispy bits of mock meat was a good dish. The beans were crunchy and on the whole the dish was tasty and enjoyable. The Cereal Tofu was also quite good. The tofu was silky smooth and soft.

Sweet & Sour Pork is a very popular dish in Chinese restaurants. By substituting meat with a vegetarian choice, in our case golden mushrooms, we got a meat free sweet and sour dish that still gave as much satisfaction as the meat version. The chewy tender texture of the golden mushroom had a slight resemblance to that of pork.

Overall, we thought the food at D’life Signature Parkway Parade was good but not exceptional. If we want good tasty Chinese food or zhi char dishes, there are many other places in Parkway Parade and its neighbourhood we can go to. Nevertheless, if you want a decent meat free meal in a pleasant casual dining setting, then D’life Signature Parkway Parade is quite an attractive good option. It may be even more attractive if they add vegan beer to their beverage menu.
