“Ole Ole” is a chant being heard often in England now that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revived the fortunes of Manchester United football club. In sunny Singapore, since our national sport is said to be eating, “Ondeh Ondeh, Nyonya Kueh Boleh” could well be our version of the “ole chant”. If Oleh Oleh Parkway Parkway starts using that as its slogan, we will be asking for royalty. We will happily accept payment in ondeh ondeh.

The ondeh ondeh ($0.80) of Oleh Oleh cafe is quite large. It may be a bit too big to pop into the mouth in one go. The glutinous rice balls filled with gula Melaka had pandan scented dough which was thick enough to provide a good bite. The sweet filling was luscious.
