Iron Rice Bowl in Parkway Parade is a new concept of the IronSupperClub group. The casual diner offers fusion rice bowl, featuring the signature 4 Grain

Iron Rice Bowl Parkway Parade looks more like a takeaway food kiosk than a restaurant. There is only a small dining area which is carved out of the mall corridor space. The furnishing is basic but the colourful chairs help to give the place a cosy casual feel.

Iron Rice Bowl Parkway Parade Menu
The menu of Iron Rice Bowl essentially offers rice or noodles with a variety of meat and fish, such as braised pork belly, beef brisket, chicken katsu

Rice Bowl & Noodles
We ordered 2 individual sets – 14

The set meals were presented on a wooden tray and were visually interesting. The portion was substantial. Each set came with a small bowl of tofu and a small portion of salad. The collagen soup came in a metal beaker. The diners were told to pour the soup into
The collagen soup combined well with the bamboo noodles and other ingredients in the bowl. The mix of textures and flavours made the bowl of noodle soup very enjoyable. The BBQ chicken was very average and we thought it was a tad dry.

The pork tonkatsu was not bad, definitely better than the BBQ chicken. The 4 grain blackberry rice was good – soft and palatable. We thought “blackberry rice” meant rice with berries added but it was actually a healthier type of rice from Thailand, a cross breed of jasmine rice and purple rice. Besides tasting better than normal rice, blackberry rice is supposed to have all sorts of health benefits – such having a lower glycemic index and being able to help lower cholesterol levels.

Overall, we like the rice and noodles of Iron Rice Bowl but we were not too thrilled by the meats. We thought the portion of food was substantial and the set meal was good value for money.
