Haakon Superfoods & Juice offers a range of superfood bowls, smoothies, juices, salads and all-day breakfast dishes. Its menu is designed to be inclusive for all diets with vegan options and gluten-free and paleo friendly dishes.
Opened by a Norwegian with a background in psychology and his partner who is a medical doctor, Haakon aims to promote Scandinavian nourishing dining. The first outlet of Haakon was opened in Holland Village. There are now 3 other branches – in 313 Somerset, Kinex and One Raffles Place.
Haakon One Raffles Place
Haakon One Raffles Place is on the ground level, near the side entrance opposite Republic Plaza. It has a small dining space decorated in a Scandinavian minimalist style. It is open and bright but quite cosy and inviting.
Haakon’s Menu
Haakon Superfoods’ menu offers superfoods, juice, acai & pitaya bowls, salad, all day brunch, smoothies and beverages. You can create your own bowl. Below are pictures of the menu of Haakon and “make your own bowl chit”.
Brunch at Haakon One Raffles Place
We visited Haakon Superfoods One Raffles Place for a light brunch and ordered a Banana Crunch Toast (9.90), a Classic Acai Bowl ($7.90), Hot Tea ($4.90) and Latte ($5.50).
Order and payment were made at the counter. We collected the food when prompted by the buzzer. The wait for the food and beverages were fairly short. The coffee at Haakon was quite good.
The Banana Crunch Toast looked good. The banana sat on a piece of brioche toast and was topped by all sorts of ingredients you would find in a modern cereal bowl. There were granola, goji berries, chia seeds, and mangoes. It was a goodness-packed bowl that was enjoyable.
Haakon Superfoods’ Classic Acai Bowl was evidence that a healthy dish did not have to taste bland and look dull. Organic acai blend and chia seed parfait were topped with multi-hue fruits, granola and coconut shavings. It was like having a guilt-free delicious ice cream sundae. We liked the nice combination of flavours and textures and we had the bonus of all those antioxidants and vitamins in the little bowl of colourful nutritious treats.
Eating well is made easier with restaurants like Haakon Superfoods & Juice. Whether you are looking for vegan dishes, gluten-free or dairy-free treats, or looking for dishes with healthy omegas or rich in antioxidants or simply looking for something delectable you should be able to find a suitable item on the menu of Haakon Superfoods & Juice. Even if all you wanted was just another photo for Instagram, Haakon would duly oblige.
