Seng Huat Mushroom Minced Meat Noodle – good bak chor mee all day & all night

Minced Meat Noodles or Bak Chor Mee is a hawker dish that is very popular in Singapore even before Michelin starred Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle helped to put bak chor mee on the world’s food map. The Teochew noodle dish can be found all over Singapore – in coffeshops, hawker centres and food courts. At Seng Huat Mushroom Minced Meat Noodle stall at North Bridge Road, you can enjoy good affordable bak chor mee all day and all night.

The Mushroom Minced Meat Noodle, without chilli, had springy noodles topped with fresh minced pork, pork slices, liver, crunchy anchovies, vinegar-braised mushrooms and fried pork lard. The combination of different textures was delightful. The tangy vinegar gravy boosted the flavours of the humble hawker dish. It was a good bowl of bak chor mee.

The Pork Rib Noodle, with chilli, was essentially the Mushroom Minced Meat Noodle with chunks of pork ribs replacing pork slices and anchovies. It was also an enjoyable dish.
