Dine like a king in Tablescape this Oktoberfest

Dine like a king in Tablescape this Oktoberfest

Shakespeare once said a quart of ale is a meal for a king, and thus Tablescape offers a very special set menu this Oktoberfest for you to feast like an emperor.

The set begins with a starter simply titled Prawns. The oceanic sweetness of raw Sicilian red prawns or gambero rosso is given lift with an
appetite-whetting gel made from the crisply spicy and fruity-sweet notes of Royal Jamaican Ginger Beer. Next is house-made egg pasta
noodles tossed in a sauce made with the dry yet fruity Saison Dupont farmhouse ale from historic Belgian farmhouse microbrewery Brasserie Dupont. The Beef main course features fork-tender Angus beef cheek balanced with a jus made from Singapore’s first beer – Tiger beer. Finish the meal with a chocolate tart paired with a custard made from smooth darkly flavoured Guinness Stout.

To complement the indulgent meal is a complimentary pint of Bohemian Lager, the only draft beer that Tablescape sells,
sourced from craft brewery Archipelago Brewery which has been steadfastly brewing local craft beers since 2006.

Yàn Encapsulates Heart & Soul of Cantonese Cuisine with Refreshed Menu

From 1 October 2019

YAN House Special Local Lobster Porridge with Clams and Puffed Rice

The joy of dining at Yàn continues to flourish with new Head Chef Ng Sen Tio (黄胜潮), who introduces a new repertoire of Cantonese fare at Yàn. The refreshed menu offers highlights such as the House Special Local Lobster Porridge with Clams and Puffed Rice, which melds the sweetness of lobster and clams in a hearty porridge, and the Fried Minced Duck Meat & Cuttlefish Paste in Egg Pancake, a forgotten dish which Chef Ng learned in the 1970s, presents a delectable appetiser to commence a lovely meal. A new soup at Yàn, the Golden Pumpkin Broth with Seafood & Chicken Paste Beancurd is a wholesome result of the union between pork and chicken consommé blended with steamed pumpkin purée, and the steamed housemade beancurd comprising an amalgamation of scallops, prawns, chicken paste, and silky beancurd.

New dishes include Claypot Wok-Fried Prawns with Fish Maw and Vermicelli and Homemade XO Sauce, a duo of fish maw and fresh prawns cooked with the restaurant’s housemade XO sauce. The House Special Caramelised Barbecued Pork joins Yàn’s mainstays of signature roasts such as Yàn Peking Duck and Signature Crispy Roast Suckling Pig. The Cantonese-style char siu uses the well-marbled pork belly cut, known commonly as wu hua rou, that offers the perfect balance of rich fat and lean meat.
