A pandemic has brought international travel to almost a complete halt. While leisure travel may not yet be possible, we can still experience the culture and cuisine of many different places of the world, and even pick up a few foreign phrases. We can virtually travel around the world in 18 restaurants in Singapore.

It has been said that air miles and passports are among the most useless things in 2020. Border closures and travel restrictions have meant that plans for holiday abroad had to be shelved. We are urged to be local tourists by visiting Sentosa or Pulau Ubin. However, since we spend most of our time and money eating when we travel for holidays, visiting restaurants in Singapore representing the cuisines and cultures of various holiday destinations may actually come quite close to our traveling experience.

We can plan to eat around the world without leaving Singapore. It can be an interesting itinerary. Imagine flying up to Bangkok, Thailand and then to North East Asia before going down to the Southern Hemisphere. We will cross the major oceans of the world and be transported to six continents in our virtual round the world trip. So here is our Around the World in 18 Restaurants Itinerary.
