New Westgate Restaurants 2021 to try and familiar ones to revisit in the New Year
In case you have not visited Westgate recently, here is our list of new Westgate Restaurants 2021 and some familiar food places that are still going strong at the shopping mall in Jurong East. Other than f & b, the rest of retail has also seen changes. Isetan Westgate is gone, replaced by Sephora and Eccellente by HAO Mart. We hope this list of food places will assist our readers to decide on what to eat in Westgate in 2021.

Level One Westgate Restaurants 2021
Zaffron Kitchen @ Westgate #01-20
Zaffron Kitchen – This Indian restaurant is a familar restaurant at Westgate and has been there since day one. It is still one of our favourite places to eat at Westgate. Very good Indian food and a great location on the ground level. Choose one of the tables by the window and watch the world go by. Read our review here.

Collin’s Gastro Dining at Westgate #01-05
Collin’s is a restaurant chain that aims “… to bring restaurant-quality food to the masses at affordable prices”. We think they have done remarkably well in that regard. Their restaurant at Westgate occupies prime space on level one. Read about our visit to Collin’s @ Marina Square here.
According to the Capitaland website, “Hanok is a spin-off brand by Masizzim, serving up the same well-loved stews and traditional Korean side dishes – but with no pork or lard”. Dishes served at this Korean restaurant include Shabu-Shabu, mixed-grain Rice Balls, Egg Rolls and crispy Pancakes.

Gochi-So Shokudo @ Westgate #01-02
Gochi-So Shokudo ごち惣食堂 serves “one of the world’s healthiest pork”. The Japanese Iberico pork restaurant offers premium pork dishes like rice rowls, curry rice and tonkatsu at affordable prices. You can read about our lunch at Gochi-So Shokudo (Chinatown outlet) here.
Tim Ho Wan Restaurant – This well-known restaurant from Hong Kong needs no introduction. It is also an evergreen restaurant at Westgate. It has been there since the opening and still drawing in the crowds. The large Westgate outlet is one of their many outlets in Singapore.

Bao Makers Cafe @ Westgate #02-49
Bao Makers Cafe is a relatively new Westgate restaurant, having opened in early 2020. They serve traditional Chinese buns filled with local and international flavours.

Honolulu Cafe Westgate #02-06
Honolulu Cafe has nothing to do with Hawaii, as far as we know. This Hong Kong tea cafe (cha charn teng) is well known for its flaky egg tarts. We discovered that there is much more to Honolulu Cafe than just egg tarts. Read about our Breakfast at Honolulu Café Westgate here.
Souperstar Westgate #02-05A
Souperstar is a casual restaurant that serves restorative soups, heart-warming stews and heritage rich popiahs.
Located together in one corner of Westgate is a trio of Paradise Group restaurants. On Level 2 are Canton Paradise and Paradise Dynasty. On level 3 is Beauty in The Pot.
Canton Paradise is a casual HK style diner that serves Cantonese classics from roast specialties to noodles and congee. Paradise Dynasty serves a wider range of Chinese cusine – covering northern and southern China cuisine.

Beauty in The Pot at Westgate #03-10
Beauty in The Pot is a hotpot restaurant that is said to offer “six nourishing soup bases that promises rich flavours coupled with abundant benefits”.
Yun Nans Westgate #03-07
After their first outlet at Changi Jewel, Yun Nans 云海肴 had expanded their presence in Singapore with outlets at Nex and Westgate. Yun Nans Singapore is an outpost of the largest casual Yunnan restaurant chain, Yun Hai Yao, which over 150 outlets in China, specialising in Yunnan ethnic highland cuisines. Bijin Nabe (Tsukada Nojo) Westgate #03-04
Tsukada Nojo is known for their Japanese hotpot known as Bijin Nabe, well known for its chicken collagen pot or Beauty Collagen Pot. The magic potion is apparently their soup stock which is made from boiling the bones of some special breed of chickens in Japan and transported to Singapore. Crystal Jade Kitchen Westgate #04-42
Crystal Jade Kitchen is another familiar restaurant at Westgate. It is a large Chinese restaurant restaurant on level 4 that has been there day since the start of Westgate and stil very popular.
Food Places at Westgate Basement
TANYU Charming Grilled Fish #B1-02
TANYU (探鱼)Charming Grilled Fish is an interesting restaurant in the basement level of Westgate. The decor is quirky and unusual and their specialty is grilled fish. It is a restaurant chain from China with more than 180 outlets in major cities in China. TANYU opened its first overseas flagship store in Singapore in 2017 at Somerset 313.
A wide range of food is available at the Food Republic food court at Basement 1 of Westgate. A full list of food stalls is available on the Food Republic website.
Eccellente by HAO Mart Westgate
Taking over the space formerly occupied by Isetan Westgate supermarket is Eccellente by HAO Mart. In addition to the usual supermarket food and products, there are some f & b kiosks in the supermart such as Andersen’s ice-cream, Windowsill Pies, Beverly Hills Cheesecake and Chicha San Chen bubble tea.
