New Omakase Concept Fukui
Fukui (福井), a hospitality-driven omakase concept, opens at 25 Mohamed Sultan. Set within a shophouse, the 3,000-sq ft new restaurant modern interiors inspired by the comforts and tranquility of a ryokan.
Head Chef Pa’an, with over 20 years of Japanese culinary experience under his belt, presents a simple yet bold cuisine showcasing traditional cooking methods, the refined flavours of premium Japanese ingredients and his own modern twists.
Expect ingredient-driven creations, from teasing the natural oils out of kanpachi (great amberjack) with warayaki (traditional straw fire cooking) in full view of patrons to his two-year-old and growing anago (sea eel) sauce that accentuates plump Hokkaido rice grains and an unlikely accompaniment of house-marinated garlic for his sushi courses.
A meal at Fukui delivers quality and value. Lunch starts from $88++ for six courses to $158++ for seven-courses, and dinner starts from $188++ for seven-courses to $338++ for 13-courses.

New talk of the town – KULTO
KULTO on 87 Amoy Street is the new talk of the town. The brainchild of Chef-Owner Jose Alonso, KULTO, a cosy and homely new restaurant serving bona fide Spanish food. Inspired by his Spanish roots and travels around the world, the cuisine at KULTO reflects his philosophy of respecting traditions, seasonality of produce, and elevated precision; where ingredients shine on its own and impress when put together.
Expect the usual suspects, including Paella, but done specially on Josper Grill that ensue an evenly cooked paella with flavours from the char from the flames. There is also an exciting take on Singapore’s heritage dish, Chef Alonso’s Chili Crab Croquette – a bite-sized pocket of flavour explosion, finished with chunks of fresh crab meat bound by béchamel sauce, paired with house special chili sauce.

Fat Belly Social Steakhouse
Singapore’s first alternative steakhouse, Fat Belly, has launched Fat Belly Social Steakhouse (FBSS), a new 60 seater social dining space located at the heart of bustling Boon Tat Street.
The new communal restaurant’s menu features small plates such as the Grilled Octopus and Grilled Ox Tongue, and large sharing plates that include both alternative and prime steak cuts such as the Zabuton and Rib Cap. Every dish on FBSS’ menu is complemented by a carefully curated wine list comprising both Old and New World wines.

A new multi-concept restaurant, Feast Roxy, opens at Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy.
Formerly known as Feast@East Buffet Restaurant, Feast Roxy has undergone a change; both the décor and refreshed menus to suit evolving lifestyle changes. Inspired by tropical foliage and the comforts of home for family style dining, this is further enhanced through the reconfiguration of selected spaces with cosy sofa seating.
The new restaurant have two dining concepts: All-Day Dining and Roxy Flavours from 12 pm to 10 pm, Mondays – Thursdays and A La Carte Buffet for lunch and dinner from Fridays to Sundays.

And as its name suggests, the Glamping Picnic experience offers an exclusive picnic menu – a luxurious, generous spread, considerately presented as two-bite dainties that are easy to eat even when lounging.
