Chef Damian D’Silva of Kin would look forward to a once-a-year Easter treat – his Granddad “Pop”’s Easter Beef Murtabak – a dish of egg crepe wrapped around aromatic ground beef Pop would cook after Good Friday Mass. The soft crepe was made simply with egg and salt, and the ground beef cooked with aromatics including star anise, cinnamon and nutmeg with house-blended curry powder.
