30% Discount Takeaway from OldTown White Coffee Coastal Playgrove

Oldtown White Coffee has a new outlet in a scenic location at East Park Park. Currently, there is a 30% discount for takeaway from OldTown White Coffee Coastal Playgrove.

Coastal Playgrove, located at Area B of East Coast Park, at the former Big Splash site, is the new family-friendly recreation destination at East Coast Park. OldTown White Coffee occupies a prime spot in Coastal Playground. It offers diners a good view of the seaside. While dining at the waterfront cafe is not possible for the time being, the small consolation is that we can get a 30% discount for takeaway from OldTown White Coffee Coastal Playgrove.

Takeaway from OldTown White Coffee

We ordered the Nasi Lemak Classic ($7.90), Chicken Hor Fun Set ($13.70) and Hainanese Chicken Chop Rice Set ($14.34). The prices are before the 30% discount. A set meant that we got to choose a beverage with the order.

Eco friendly food packaging, with nostalgic prints, was used for the takeaway from OldTown White Coffee.

The Ipoh chicken hor fun is one of the most popular dishes of OldTown White Coffee. It was the best dish of our takeaway meal. The broth was packed in a separate container so that the hor fun would not become soggy on the journey home from the food pick up. The broth was good. The thin hor fun was smooth and soft. Everything combined well for a dish which ticked all the right boxes for tasty comfort food.

The Hainanese chicken chop rice was fairly average. The rice was nice. The taste of the chiken was not bad but we were rather disappointed by the small size of the one piece of chicken.

The Nasi Lemak Classic was like a base version of nasi lemak where you could order add on like rendang or curry chicken. On its own the dish had egg, peanuts & ikan billis and some vegetables. It was a tasty dish of nasi lemak. However, even though the price of the dish was not high it was definitely not cheap for the limited ingredients included.

Convenient ECP Option

Overall, our takeaway meal from OldTown White Coffee was nothing exceptional but nice enough. We thought the menu prices were quite high. However, the prices become reasonable if you take advantage of the 30% discount for self pick up.

If you are visiting East Coast Park (ECP) with the family or there for your walk or jog, takeaway from OldTown White Coffee Coastal Playgrove will be a convenient option.
