The Malaysian chain launched theirs first outlet in Singapore in 2019, taking a large space in basement 3 of the 313 Somerset Shopping Mall (read about our visit to the newly opened Go Noodle House Singapore at 313 Somerset).

New Outlet in Parkway Parade

Go Noodle House Parkway Parade is located in the new Food Hall in Parkway Parade on the ground floor of the shopping mall. It has the brand’s signature Qing Dynasty-inspired interior design. It is quite spacious and the tables are quite well spaced out.

GO Noodle House Menu

The Superior Soup Mi Xian is the signature dish. It is mi xian specially brought in from Jiangxi and served with broth prepared with more than 14 types of fish bones, and made even more special with the addition of Chinese Rice Wine (花雕酒). Besides the signature dish, there are a variety of noodles, including bee hoon and pan mee, with a wide selection of toppings and add-ons.

Lunch at GO Noodle House Parkway Parade

We ordered the Pork Ball Superior Soup mi xian ($10.90), Special Dark Sauce Pan Mee with Onsen Egg ($10.90) and the Hakka Sauce Pan Mee with Century Egg ($11.90).

The Special Dark Sauce Pan Mee with Onsen Egg was presented on a wooden tray. The noodles topped with black fungus strips and vegetables were in a large oval plate. Other items on the tray were a whole egg, condiments and a bowl of soup.

A bit of do-it-yourself preparation would be needed to mix in the egg, fried shallots, anchovies and minced pork and toss the the noodles.

The noodles coated with a sweet-savoury dark sauce was tasty on its own. With the other ingredients mixed in, we got an enjoyable dish with a harmonious blend of flavours and pleasing textures.

The separate bowl of soup with the signature Bursting Meatball was nice comfort food.

Hakka Sauce Pan Mee with Century Egg was similar to Dark Sauce Pan Mee except for the sauce and the topping of century egg instead of onsen egg. The oil based sauce was light, aromatic and palatable. Those who like a more subtle flavour would prefer the Hakka sauce over the dark sauce.

The Pork Ball Superior Soup mi xian was very satisfying mainly because of the the light and fragrant broth. The shot of Chinese wine poured into the bowl made the soup richer and more interesting.

Reasonably Priced Quality Noodles

Overall, the food at GO Noodle House is enjoyable. There is a good variety of options in the menu. Since we first visited the noodle house in 313 Somerset in 2019, the prices have gone up but the current prices are still reasonable. We would be happy to recommend GO Noodle House to our families and friends who want a good affordable noodle meal.
