Located up on level 7 of Funan Mall, Trehaus Cafe is a tranquil haven nestled within a preschool and co-working space. This cosy cafe caters to families and those seeking respite from the hustle and bustle of the mall, offering comforting snacks and light bites with good coffee and tea.
Trehaus @ Funan Mall
Trehaus @ Funan Mall is a co-working space with child friendly facilities. Within the same premises is Trehaus School with a preschool programme promoting a safe and nurturing bilingual environment with Mandarin immersion. Trehaus Cafe is designed to be a welcoming oasis, where parents can savour a cup of freshly brewed coffee and grab a light bite.
Trehaus is accessible via Funan Lift Lobby A, near the North Bridge Road entrance. On level 1, the lift lobby is just opposite the Superdry store.
On level 7, there is a glass door marked “office”. Go through the door and the Trehaus reception area can be seen. Trehaus cafe is further down the corridor.
The small cafe has a simple yet delightful atmosphere. A lightwood and beige or very pale brown colour scheme creates a sense of serenity. The overhead indoor plant trellis adds a touch of greenery to the space.
Menu of Trehaus Cafe
Trehaus Cafe is essentially a place for coffee or tea and desserts, though it also offers a few savoury items for snacks or a light meal. There are items on the menu for kids. Below are pictures of the Trehaus Cafe menu.
There is also a digital menu which can be used for placing orders. There are a few savoury items like Steak & Ale and Mac & Cheese listed there. Below is the screenshot of a digital menu page.
Coffee & Cakes at Trehaus Cafe
We ordered cinnamon roll ($4.50) and teacake ($6.80) along with a hot long black ($5.20) and a flat white ($6.20).
The cinnamon roll, with cream and blueberry jam on top, looked very inviting. It had just the right level of chewiness, not too heavy or too light. The warm cinnamon roll, with its sweet cinnamon swirls, combined well with the cream and jam to give a delightful treat. The simple teacake was moist, tender and fragrant. It was a delectable comforting snack – very good for teatime.
The long black, robust and intense, provided a good caffeine punch. The flat white was smooth and creamy. Both were well brewed coffee.
A Peaceful Retreat
Funan Mall has many eateries and nice places for coffee and snacks. It is a popular and vibrant mall – which may also mean that it can be crowded and noisy. If you are in Funan and want to enjoy a coffee break or afternoon tea in a serene comfortable environment, Trehaus Cafe at the top level of the mall will be a perfect option. It is a peaceful retreat with good coffee and delightful teatime snacks.
