The 1925 Brewing Co is a pub serving craft beer from its own microbrewery and Teochew Food. With items like Chaoshan braised duck breast on the menu and Kaya Toast Stout on tap, this Joo Chiat restaurant sounded like a bao jiak kind of place.
Wolfgang’s Steakhouse Singapore is a steak restaurant at Intercontinental Singapore Robertson Quay. It is part of an international chain of steakhouses by Wolfgang Zwiener that serves only USDA Prime Black Angus steak. We tried the weekend roasted prime rib from the brunch / lunch menu.
665°F restaurant is a steakhouse perched on top of the Andaz Singapore, a hotel in the Hyatt group. The name is a reference to the temperature of the Pira oven and grill. With set lunch menus priced from $38++ we thought we should give it a try.
Gordon Grill is a steakhouse at the Goodwood Park Hotel Singapore known for its Continental cuisine. It is an evergreen restaurant, established in 1963 but we have never been there. We thought that its $58++ lunch set meals looked reasonable and decided it was time to go.
The “40% discount” label on Jack’s Place Delivery on the Foodpanda website was attention grabbing. The discount applied to the set meal deals that normally cost around $30 to $40 each. We ordered two set meals.
It is time to wine and dine at Orchard Road again. After a medical appointment at Mt Elizabeth, it is only natural to stop by Paragon for lunch. The Grill by 1855 The Bottle Shop was our choice, partly for its wines and grill and partly because it was quiet. Safe distance was never an issue.
