Imakatsu is the latest addition to the long list of Japanese restaurants at Star Vista. It is a tonkatsu restaurant from Japan with a simple and zen-like outlook and decor that is very calming.
The Ship is an institution in the Singapore dining scene, having been around since we were very young. In the days when dining options were not so varied as today and Western dining cuisine usually meant sky high pricing, we were grateful to have places like Jack’s Place and The Ship where the word “affordable” could be mentioned in the same breath. After being closed for quite a while due to the renovations at Shaw Centre, we looked forward with anticipation to the reopening of The Ship.

Shaw Centre’s retail section re-opened in September 2014, after undergoing a period of renovation. We check out the F&B outlets that have commenced business. Some of the units are technically located in the adjoining Shaw House, but they are so interlinked that we treat them all as part of the same mall. Continue reading →

There is no lack of eating places at the new Mall – whether you just want dessert or something more substantial. Cold Storage, J-Mart and HockHua Tonic are also in the mall.

Atmosphere Bistro Bar at Parkland Green is a sports bar which also serves a mix of Asian and Western bistro food for dinner. The bistro is open for lunch on weekends. It offers a great view of East Coast Park and the sea beyond.
