Dolce Vita Welcomes Michelin Star Chef Salvatore Bianco

As part of the annual Gusto Italiano promotion, Mandarin Oriental, Singapore welcomes Guest Chef Salvatore Bianco to Dolce Vita where the Michelin Star Chef will showcase a menu of authentic Italian cuisine from 19 to 22 October 2017. Highlights include succulent Cod fillet confit served with smoked potatoes and handmade stuffed ravioli, a rendition of seared Lobster with avocado mayonnaise, baby leek and crispy millet and flavourful slow-braised Brasato beef cheek.

The three-course lunch is priced at SGD 68 per person, and the four-course lunch is priced at SGD 88 per person. The four-course dinner is priced at SGD 88 per person, and the five-course dinner is priced at SGD 108 per person. Wine pairing by award-winning sommelier is also available.

Kumar’s Stand-Up Comedy Live

Opus Bar & Grill Bourbon Whiskey Aged U.S. Tomahawk Steak

From October 2017, Opus Bar & Grill will serve bourbon whiskey-aged U.S. California Tomahawk steak – where USDA Certified and 365-day grain-fed Tomahawk steak is wrapped in a bourbon whiskey-soaked cloth and dry-aged in a custom-made Himalayan salt tile cabinet for up to 21 days. The liquor amplifies the dry-aging process, increasing the meat’s flavor and tenderizing it along the way, while absorbing the subtle bourbon whiskey notes of vanilla and wood. This new cut, which serves two, is priced at $128.

In addition to the new Tomahawk steak, diners can look forward to other high-quality prime cuts from Australia and the U.S., with pricing beginning at $58. One main highlight of the menu is the signature sharing cut of 800g Rangers Valley Angus OP rib, which is dry-aged in-house for 14 to 36 days as well as the 1 to 1.2kg Black Angus Porterhouse and prime grade cuts from U.S. Greater Omaha.

Amara Singapore Unveils a New menu and Dining Concept

On 18 September 2017, Element restaurant at Amara Singapore unveils a new menu and a dining concept envisioned by  new Executive Chef from Italy. Under Chef Carmelo’s stewardship, Element restaurant will introduce contemporary Sicilian cuisines for communal dining. The meal will commence with an array of ‘small plates’ of nine appetisersf ollowed by one main from the Pasta selection. The second main course consists of several types of meat or fish selections. A choice of dessert will finish the sumptuous meal on a sweet note.

The four-course dinner menu priced at S$88 per person will be available on Monday to Sunday (except Friday) from 6.30pm – 10.30pm.

A Star is Rising at Award Winning Les Amis

Koh Han Jie, Les Amis’ Chef de Partie, is the winner of this year’s Young Talents Escoffier 2017 Asia Final, a prestigious culinary competition for young chefs under 25 years old. Having earlier won the Singapore segment, 24-year old Han Jie clinched the top win at the Asian Finals, and with it, the right to represent Asia in the Young Talents Escoffier Finals in Zurich in March 2018. Han Jie has been training under the watchful eyes of Les Amis’ Executive Chef Sebastien Lepinoy and coached by Les Amis’ Executive Sous-Chef, Chef Peter Teo in two-Michelin-starred French restaurant Les Amis at Shaw Centre.
