Impossible™ Pork is making its debut at Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao. The Crystal Jade chain is launching its first Impossible™ menu inspired by local flavours and classic favourites, the new menu features seven dishes made with delicious Impossible™ Pork. The new menu will be exclusively available at the brand’s latest outlet at i12 Katong and on Deliveroo, before rolling out at all outlets in Singapore later this year.
Well-established for its refined menu of quality and well-executed Northern Chinese specialities, Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao will soon also serve up modern twists on provincial favourites – this time, with Impossible™ Pork, a delicious, nutritious plant-based pork that is versatile for every cuisine and far more sustainable than pork from pigs.

There are more reasons to lunch at The Marmalade Pantry with its refreshed Executive Set Lunch offerings of toothsome modern bistro fare highlighting a meat alternative with a plant-based dish, low-carb mains, and a wholesome dessert option, amongst others.
Available daily from now till 31 October 2022, 12 pm to 3 pm at The Marmalade Pantry Downtown outlet for dine-in, as well as online for takeaway and delivery, the 2-Course Executive Set Lunch ($28++) comprises a choice of main and dessert. For a heartier meal, the 3-Course Executive Set Lunch ($33++) consists of a main with a choice of starter and dessert. Each set lunch is served with a beverage from a selection of coffee, tea, apple or orange juice.
Opt for a healthful meal with the plant-based or low-carb mains like the Impossible Bolognese and the Cauliflower “Risotto”. For a moreish bite, opt for the Shrimp Po Boy, featuring Cajun marinated shrimp, battered and deep-fried upon order.

Humble Bakery celebrates the Colours of Chocolate with Callebaut
Artisan Chef-Owners Glenn Lai and Tan Zhuo Guan of Humble Bakery celebrate the Colours of Chocolate made with Callebaut’s ‘5 Colours’ series.
Callebaut has been crafting its finest Belgian Chocolate in the heart of Belgium for more than 100 years. Callebaut has developed a new type of chocolate – Ruby RB1 chocolate, born from the ruby cocoa bean. It does does not contain any added colourants or fruit flavourings.
The new artisanal renditions of online bakery, Humble Bakery, are made with not just the Dark, Milk and White chocolate, but also the Gold Caramel and Ruby chocolate . The Gyu Bar highlights Manjimup black truffles and Hokkaido uni – treasures from land and sea – in a 10-course omakase menu ($238++). Renowned for its intense, earthy aroma, black truffles are sublime complements to well-marbled Japanese wagyu, as well as luscious Hokkaido uni.
Highlights from the delectable 10-course omakase menu include:
- Truffle Uni Cone filled with beef tartare and sliced onions, topped with Hokkaido uni and freshly shaved truffle.
- Uni tempura, Yuzu wagyu carpaccio, Shishamo mentai with sawa gani, and Kumamoto tomatoes.
- Yakiniku with two cuts of wagyu from two prefectures – Kagoshima Ichibo and Miyazaki Tenderloin.

- 66% Dark Panchor ($12) with honey and cereal notes uses cacao sourced directly from Panchor, a small town in Muar District, Malaysia
- 75% Dark Calinan ($12) uses cacao from the northwest Calinan district of Davao City, Philippines and has notes of roasted nuts, burnt sugar and tart cranberries
- 82% Dark Anaimalai ($12) with subtle notes of almond and raisins, is sourced from a cacao plantation in the foothills of Anaimalai Hills (Elephant Mountains), in Tamil Nadu India.
