Oakwood Premier OUE Celebrates World Gin Day with Staycation Package

Starting 21 May 2019

In celebration of World Gin Day in June, Oakwood Premier OUE Singapore has collaborated with Brass Lion Distillery, Singapore’s first standalone micro-distillery, to launch a special Oops, I’ve Ginned! Staycation Package and three specially concocted cocktails at property’s chic The Bar.

Starting 21 May 2019, curious drinkers and gin enthusiasts can fuel their passions with a luxurious staycation at Oakwood Premier OUE Singapore. Upon check-in, guests are welcomed with a DIY cocktail kit comprising of Brass Lion Distillery’s flagship spirit: the Singapore Dry Gin, along with chrysanthemum honey and sparkling lychee tea. With the kit, guests may try their hand at concocting tea-infused gin cocktails with exclusive recipe by Brass Lion Distillery.

As dusk approaches, guests may head out for Brass Lion Distillery’s guided tour to learn more about the distillery’s story and its hand-crafted distillation process over a welcome cocktail. To cap it off, the craft spirits maker will present a tasting flight of three different gin expressions.

To celebrate this collaboration, The Bar has teamed up with Brass Lion Distillery to present three signature cocktails with Singapore Dry Gin. These include:

From 7 to 16 June, Indian Specialty Chef Santosh Kumar who started his career in New Delhi, pays tribute to the capital of India at Melt Café. Indulge in a range of appetisers, mains and specials including a delicious Mutton Ki Sharmi comprising finely minced lamb seasoned with Indian spices and decadent foie gras or succulent king prawns cooked under the searing heat of a traditional tandoor oven.

On Fridays and Saturdays, taking centre stage is a Whole Lamb Biryani roasted to perfection for close to five hours, and accompanied by fragrant saffron rice and a selection of chutneys. The outdoor garden hosts a slew of barbecued North Indian stalwarts such as chicken flavoured with cumin and garlic and fish marinated in yoghurt for a tangy hit. Decadent desserts bound to delight are Mango Lassi Slice or Badam Kheer Tart made with almonds and milk.
