Botanic Restaurant Raffles City – new restaurant featuring plant-based dishes

The Botanic Restaurant

Botanic Restaurant Raffles City is the new restaurant that takes over the space previously occupied by Salt Tapas & Bar. It is a stand-alone restaurant at street level facing the Raffles Hotel, but connected by a covered pathway so that diners do not get their feet wet walking over from the main Raffles City mall to the Botanic Restaurant.

Cosmo Restaurant and Wine Bar – new restaurant at Forum The Shopping Mall

Cosmo Restaurant and Wine Bar is a new restaurant at the Forum the Shopping Mall along Orchard Road, Singapore. It takes over the place formerly occupied by California Pizza Kitchen which had (in mid 2018) moved across the road to Claymore Connect at Orchard Hotel. With part of the premises set up as a nightspot and the other part as a regular restaurant, it was hard to figure out what to expect. We decided to have lunch at Cosmo Restaurant and Wine Bar to find out.

Ah Lock & Co – forget the tagline & just Munchi the Min Jiang Kueh

Ah Lock & Co

Ah Lock & Co is a newly opened eatery in Tanjong Pagar Centre offering Hakka Tofu Rice Bowl & Min Jiang Kueh. The tagline “Eat My Tofu” is on one of its walls as well as on the t-shirts of the staff  –  witty or inappropriate? Having actually eaten Ah Lock’s Hakka tofu, which was not bad, we would prefer to eat the stall’s min jiang kueh.

I have found my one Chulove at VivoCity

Still searching for Chulove? It is located at level one of VivoCity. Chulove Cafe takes up part of the space formerly occupied by Spanish restaurant Serenity which has closed. From a distance, Chulove Cafe beckoned us to check it out with a fresh, bright look.  Its main attraction is the Spanish snack, churros which, according to their website, are “… made fresh to order with an authentic Spanish recipe”.
