My Briyani House is an Indian restaurant operated by Mr Teh Tarik Group. It serves a wide range of traditional Indian dishes as well as the iconic teh tarik and other drinks. My Briyani House at Marine Cove is a nice place for breakfast after morning exercise or while the kids are having fun at the playground.
My Briyani House at Marine Cove is quite spacious and there is a kids corner. It has a casual and comfortable setting. Whether you are all dressed up for the office or in your beach wear, you will not feel out of place there.
My Briyani House at Marine Cove is essentially a self service food place. You can order using the Self Order Kiosk or place your order with the cashier at the counter. You collect the food from the service counter when your receipt number is flashed on the digital signboards.
The range of food offered is quite extensive. Chapati, thosai, murtabak, kambing soup, fried chicken, mutton steak and fish curry are all included in the menu. Currently, there are some set meals at very reasonable prices. Below are pictures of a few pages of their menu.
We went to My Briyani House at Marine Cove for breakfast recently and we ordered the plain prata set ($4) and the egg prata set ($5.50). Each set comprised 2 pieces of roti prata and a hot drink. The wait for the roti prata was about 15 minutes.
Both the plain roti prata and egg prata were freshly made. They were quite big. The plain prata was slightly crispy on the outside and not oily. The egg prata had a softer texture relative to the plain prata. Overall both were not bad. The curry was quite spicy but delicious.
My Briyani House has a good range of breakfast items. The roti prata there is not bad but probably not the best you can find in Singapore. Nevertheless, considering the price of the set meals and the comfortable air-conditioned setting, we would think that breakfast at My Briyani House at Marine Cove is not a bad option. It is a affordable alternative to the usual egg and toast places and the location is great if you are planning to spend the morning in East Coast Park.

Tried the fried Kway Teow noodle and found out that it was not freshly fried but just ‘make warm’
Wonder why they do that; since they do make roti prata fresh. Thanks for sharing.
Ordered the roti john and it came to us like french toast. Not worth the money
The organization of the employees preparing the food and serving according to queue number is at best for a better word – deplorable. Today Sunday July 16 2017 , I was at queue number 132 order for just a simple prata with eggs but has waited for 35 minutes. I found out that the queue had advanced to 140. I went up to counter to check but the staff just took a hard stare at my receipt and rudely have it back to me and just said ” wait lah wait lah”. I have the queue disc and receipt back and said I am never coming back to the joiny9 or any of Mr tei tarik joints.
just then at 9am we ordered and i forgot to tell the cashier that i didnt want sugar in my iced milo. He poured the ready made milo into the cup and i said “so sorry i forgot can i have no sugar please?”
He replied me pissed “YOU never say earlier?”
And he refused to change my drink.
Really upset with the service.
