PS.Cafe Raffles City

PS.Cafe Raffles City is another new PS Cafe to open in Singapore. We were impressed by the interior design of PS.Cafe Fullerton opened a few months earlier. The new cafe in Raffles city is another gorgeous dining space. Designed as a house within a building, PS.Cafe Raffles City is located in the sunlit atrium and has, besides their signature live plants and floral arrangements, a vertical garden behind the bar.

Located on the 3rd level of Raffles City, PS.Cafe is housed in a beautiful structure with black frames, tall glass panels and elegant wooden strips. It looks attractive from various different angles.

The trademark diagonally-hung magazines, lush foliage, cane chairs and marble tabletops in their other outlets all can be found in PS.Cafe Raffles City.

PS.Cafe Cakes

Their signature cakes and tarts are available at PS.Cafe Raflles. So are desserts like Mrs. J’s Trifle Bomb and the PS. Profiteroles. The cafe has an all day menu offering a fair selection of mains, sandwiches, pasta and a few Asian dishes.

Here are some pictures of the PS.Cafe Raffles City Menu.

Brunch at PS.Cafe Raffles

We visited PS.Cafe for brunch and ordered the PS. Club sandwich ($26) to share so that we can have 2 items of desserts – the Florida Key Lime Pie ($13) and Ginger Steamed Pudding ($15). The Americano coffee was $6 per cup.

PS. Club Sandwich

The PS. Club sandwich came on a skewer looking like a shish kebab. Turkish bread was used and a portion of salad was served on the side. Bacon and chunks of chicken were among the ingredients between the slices of bread. The dish was quite substantial and sufficient for two with average appetite. Overall the club sandwich was not bad but we had better dishes at PS. Cafe.

PS. Cafe Ginger Pudding

The Ginger Steamed Pudding, topped with a scoop of ice cream and sitting in a shallow pool of earl grey anglaise sauce, looked demure and elegant. The rich pudding had a nice mix of texture and flavours and was very delicious.

PS. Cafe Coffee

The slice of Florida Key Lime Pie (named after the small limes grown in the Florida Keys) had a nice pale green colour. Made from lime juice and condensed milk, the custard was soft and very sweet. The custard together with the crushed cracker pie crust and unsweetened whipped cream made the pie as a whole very enjoyable.

PS.Cafe is known for its lovely ambience, good service and great cakes and desserts. PS. Cafe Raffles City lives up to reputation. The menu items are not inexpensive but having desserts and drinks in the well appointed and charming PS. Cafe Raffles City is something we can get used to easily. It can be a great spot for enjoying the privilege of watching things rather than being responsible to make it happen.
