Three Buns Quayside at Robertson Quay, Singapore is the second outlet of the restaurant offering “gourmet burgers and crafted cocktails”. Their first outlet in Singapore is in the Potato Head building along Keong Saik Road. The Robertson Quay area has received quite a few new restaurants recently and Three Buns Quayside is one of them. We were there for brunch recently.
In case you are not familiar with the area, The Quayside is the building at the one end of the Alkaff Bridge – the colourful bridge that connects to Havelock Road on the other end. It is also a building with an underground carpark that has tight corners. It is a good idea to leave the Camry at home and take the Mini instead.
We had visited The Three Bun’s other location at Keong Saik Road before and were impressed by the creative decor and warm hospitality (read our post here). But our experience at Robertson Quay was not quite the same. It was a conventional and business-like dining experience.
Three Buns Quayside Menu
Here are pictures of the Three Buns Quayside Menu. We selected a hotdog (Seng Dog $14), a burger (Kool Herc, $19) and a pancake (Kinky Afro, $19).
The Kool Herc (above pictures) was a burger with a nice juicy beef patty. Other than that it was quite a plain item. The Kinky Afro pancake was a more interesting dish. The pancakes with grilled chicken sausage and a fried egg made this a substantial dish. The semi dried tomatoes and onion marmalade added extra flavours.
The Seng Dog was the best item of the day. The beef frankfurter had good taste and texture and the nicely toasted bun complemented it well.
