Which are the best PS. Cafe outlets in Singapore? There are a total of 10 outlets, each with a different look and personality. These are our favourite PS. Cafes.
The popular PS. Cafe has its beginnings within a fashion boutique in Paragon which opened in 1999. According to an article in the Straits Times, the name of the Paragon boutique was The Projectshop and the cafe was named Blood Cafe.
In the past, we used to go to PS. Cafe for 2 reasons – the food and the magazines. Magazines, especially foreign ones, were (and still are) very expensive and the PS. Cafe was the place to read our fill of the wonderful glossy pages. The magazines, hung diagonally on a collapsible gate, became a distinctive feature of the early PS .cafe locations. With the rise of WiFi and free magazines from NLB, the range of magazines gradually reduced. Being potential contact points for COVID, we suspect that they may eventually disappear.
Nowadays we like to go to to PS. Cafe for the food and the decor. Which is the best PS. Cafe outlet in Singapore is subjective. Even among ourselves, we find that the opinion may change according to the mood that we are in.
The Best PS. Cafe Outlet 2021 – East Coast Park
For the title of overall best PS. Cafe outlet 2021, it was a toss-up between the new East Coast Park outlet and the first PS. Cafe outlet at Dempsey. By a thin margin, it was felt that the PS. Cafe ECP outlet deserves the title as its beach house feel is unique among the various PS. outlets in Singapore. With each outlet being designed differently to serve as urban escapes from real life, we think that this is the place we would like the most to escape to. Read more.
