Vibez Bistro Bar – modern Thai healthy cuisine

Vibez Bistro Bar in UE Square will surprise you. The name and the look do not suggest it but Vibez is a Thai restaurant serving healthy Thai classics & fusion dishes in a modern industrial chic space.

Vibez Bistro Bar in UE Square

The bistro bar in UE Square facing Mohamed Sultan Road may not fit into many Singaporeans’ stereotypical view of Thai restaurants and bars. There are no motifs of garuda or elephant in the interior design and no gimmicky tuk-tuks on display. It has the look of a contemporary cafe with trendy chic industrial aesthetics.

The front facade is all made of glass. That allows natural light in during the day and lets a colourful bar be seen from the outside. There are bar tables out on the wide covered walkway.

The interior is stylish with warm hues, feature walls, plants and an eclectic mix of furniture. There are benches, high bar stools and dining chairs of various designs.

Menu of Vibez

The menu of Vibez Bistro Bar is interesting. There are classic Thai dishes such as Green Mango Salad and Tom Yum Soup. Fusion dishes, like Spicy Basil Vongole Spaghetti, and plant based keto bowls are also on the menu. There is a dessert section, which includes the Thai staple mango sticky rice.

Below are pictures of the menu.

The drink list is rather extensive. Bespoke cocktails include Siam Sling and Mai Thai.

Lunch at Vibez Bistro Bar

We had lunch at Vibez Bistro Bar recently. It was quiet on a weekday afternoon.

We order the classic Pad Thai with Seafood ($16.30) and the Lemongrass Chicken Burger ($18.80). A flat white was $5.30 and an ice latte was $7.30.

The Thai stir-fried noodles with chives, beansprout, tofu and seafood, came in a smallish portion. Perhaps that was part of the healthy eating theme.

The noodles were soft and tender and the various ingredients and sauce combined well to produce a rather tasty dish of pad Thai.

The Lemongrass Chicken Burger came with fries. The chicken thigh, marinated with lemongrass & tumeric, was succulent and flavourful. The brioche bun was soft and the fries, with a crispy outer layer and fluffy, soft inside, were enjoyable.

Both the hot coffee and cold coffee were good. The wooden saucers, double wall thermo-glass and ceramic cup are nice aesthetics that helped to create a relaxed modish coffee experience.

Unique Thai Joint

With plant-based options and keto bowls as well as organic rice and gluten free noodles, Vibez Bistro Bar in UE Square is not the typical Thai eatery you will find in Singapore. It is worth a visit if you are looking to have modern Thai healthy cuisine in a pleasant space.
