Mouth Restaurant may not be a name that readily springs to mind when we are thinking of an affordable Chinese restaurant with decor that is modern and inviting. We were thus quite impressed when we walked into Mouth Restaurant Marina Square and saw its casual but modern Chinese interior design. The restaurant offers a full range of traditional as well as contemporary Chinese dishes – from dim sum and claypot rice to Peking duck and sautéed Australian tenderloin cubes.
We had a claypot & dim sum lunch at Peach Blossoms Chinese restaurant in the Marina Mandarin Hotel Singapore. It has been sometime since we last visited this hotel at Marina Square. The first thing we noticed were the birds singing in cages in the atrium and just outside. At first we thought they were just fake birds with recorded sounds, but they were real – alive and singing.
There are times when we just have to throw caution to the wind. Defy the health warnings about eating sweet stuff. Especially when the colourful sweet objects behind the Milk & Honey Yogurt and Dessert Bar were calling out to us. So we stepped up and ordered some desserts. mentally promising to ourselves that we will start our diet the next day. Besides, this place sells frozen yogurt which should be healthier than having ice-cream right?
Shio & Pepe is a new Japanese Italian Kitchen that has opened at the Emporium Shokuhin. This Japanese supermarket and restaurant cluster in Marina Square has seen quite a few changes since it opened in 2015. Shio & Pepe restaurant takes over the space formerly occupied by the Tsukeru Shabu Shabu restaurant. We have refreshed our post on Emporium Shokuhin to reflect the recent changes. You can read it here.
