Dean & Deluca Singapore has been in operation for quite some time now. Other than a visit or two during its early days in Singapore, I realised that this is one of the cafes that have somehow escaped us. With the news of its closure in New York and reading this rather bleak article by Robb Report (Dean & Deluca: The premium grocer and cafe is closing down in New York. Will its stores in Singapore follow suit?), we thought we should check out the Dean & Deluca Singapoure outlet at Far East Square when we were in the area recently.

Strangers at Work in Raffles Place

Strangers at Work

Strangers at Work is an offshoot of Strangers’ Reunion, a lovely cafe in Kampong Bahru. Strangers’ Reunion also has a beautiful cafe in Prinsep Street known as Curious Palette. Strangers at Work is like a poor stepsister. It is really a hole in the wall with a view of the escalator in The Arcade. Nevertheless, its good specialty coffee attracts a fair share of the princes and princesses of Raffles Place.

Providore Raffles Place – stylish cafe in a concrete jungle

Looking for a place to have a nice coffee break in the CBD? We have a suggestion for you. Providore Raffles Place is the flagship cafe and retail store of the Providore group in Singapore. The space that used to be just a patch of turf in between the two Raffles Place MRT exits has now been converted into various uses. At the Republic Plaza end of the space lies an attractive metal and glass building that houses Providore Cafe at Raffles Place.
