The restaurant whose name does not contain vowels has opened a new outlet in Bukit Timah. SPRMRKT Cluny Court is their third outlet, together with SPRMRKT Daily and SPRMRKT Kitchen & Bar, both at Robertson Quay. SPRMRKT Cluny Court is at the junction of Cluny Road and Bukit Timah Road. It is steps away from the Botanic Gardens MRT Station, the French Embassy and Serene Centre. This time things may be a bit confusing because there is a real supermarket (Cold Storage) downstairs.
SPRMRKT Cluny Court opened in April 2018. Their outlet at McCallum Street has closed. The space is a simply decorated one. It is not as beautiful as the SPRMRKT Kitchen & Bar where we had a lovely meal. I think it sorely lacks is windows. Apart from some small ones which are partially blocked by kitchen equipment, the whole space has little natural lighting. The Relish restaurant in the same building has better ambience.
SPRMRKT Cluny Court Menu
Here are pictures of some parts of the SPRMRKT Cluny Court Menu and a first page from the drinks list. It serves the casual cafe type of cuisine, with things like all-day breakfast, pasta etc.
The best part of our meal was the SPRMRKT truffle fries ($16). Quite pricey, but the taste was great. The texture of the fries was also just right. We tried a couple of skewers – the salmon skewer ($6) was very good, the lamb skewer less so because it had some chewy parts.
Our main courses were oven baked eggs ($20) from the all day breakfast section and slow roasted pork and goji berry bowl ($20) from the SPRGRN Bowls section.
The oven baked eggs is purely eggs and vegetables. There were quite a number of cherry tomatoes in this pan. The taste and presentation were good but we missed the meatballs with this dish.
The pork bowl was better. A more hearty and satisfying dish for lunch.
