The standalone Li Xin Teochew Fishball Noodle outlet in Viva Business is set up like a coffee shop. The decor and furniture are basic. The tables are reasonably well spaced out in the brightly lit eatery. It is a self service stall. You order and pay at the cashier and collect your food from the collection point.

Lixin Signature & Fish Dumpling

We went to the Li Xin Teochew Fishball Noodle shop in Chai Chee and ordered the Signature Noodle Dry with Bee Hoon Mee ($5.80) and the Fish Dumpling Noodle Dry with Mee Kia ($5).

The Signature Noodle meant that we got fish cakes, fishballs and fish dumplings. The fish balls were quite big and were nice and bouncy. The fish dumplings had thin smooth skins. Both the fish dumplings and fish cakes had good texture and taste.

The Bee Hoon Mee, or vermicelli with yellow noodles, with tomato ketchup were quite average. The Mee Kia with chilli sauce was much better. The thin noodles were springy and the house sauce was rather delecious.
