W39 Bistro Foodpanda Delivery- ‘atas’ nasi lemak & mee siam

We had some high class nasi lemak and mee siam for lunch from W39 Bistro Foodpanda delivery. W39 is a cute cafe in West Coast which we had visited previously. For more information and pictures of the W39 Bistro you can read our post here.

W39 Bistro & Bakery has a good collection of cakes and pastries. It has a short food menu and a brunch food menu. We selected a couple of items from the W39 Bistro Foodpanda delivery menu. The Foodpanda delivery went well – everything arrived in good condition and puntually.

We are either very consistent or very boring. I realised after ordering that we selected the same items that we had during our previous visit to W39. The two dishes were the Nyonya mee siam ($14) and Nasi Lemak with Ayam Masak Merah ($15). The Foodpanda delivery fee was $3.49.

Nasi Lemak

$15 sounds like a high price to pay for nasi lemak. It is around the same price as the famous ‘atas’ nasi lemak place – Coconut Club. But we were satisfied with it as it arrived intact and still looked beautiful. The highlight of the dish is the tender pieces of chicken and the curry. It was a satisfying (but pricey) nasi lemak.

Mee Siam

Mee Siam before gravy

The ‘atas’ mee siam from W39 Bistro Foodpanda Delivery was less interesting. It was good that the beehoon and the gravy were packed separately. There were a few large prawns but we did not like their crunchy texture. The rest of the mee siam was too similar to regular mee siam. We don’t think we will order these again. Perhaps we should try their cakes instead.
