Starbucks is one of the most successful coffee companies in the world. As a breakfast spot, it may be one of the most underrated, especially when there is an option like a Starbucks breakfast by the sea at Parkland Green.
The first Starbucks store opened in Singapore in 1996 and there are now over 150 Starbucks stores on our little island (source: Starbucks Store Counts: by Market). The typical Starbucks storefronts may be readily recognizable but that does not mean there is absolute homogeneity. The outlet in East Coast Park at Parkland Green is a good example of a Starbucks store which took full advantage of its scenic location to create a unique look and feel.

Starbucks at Parkland Green has an al fresco area that looks out to East Coast Park and the sea. Cyclists can push their bicycles right up to the bar tables.
The interior of the cafe has full height glass panels allowing patrons a good view of the scenic environment outside while enjoying air-conditioning and the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee.
Starbucks Breakfast
Starbucks at Parkland Green is a great spot for a lazy breakfast. The Starbucks breakfast menu offers a good range of items – including toasts, bagels. sandwiches, pancakes, wraps, oatmeal, yogurt and fruits.
Currently, there are breakfast sets available, where you get a breakfast item plus a cup of freshly brewed coffee or tea.
Breakfast by the Sea
We had our Starbucks breakfast at Parkland Green recently. We ordered the Egg Wrap Set and Chicken Ham & Cheese Panwich Set – $7.50 per set.
The Egg Wrap – egg white, cheese, mushroom and caramelized pepper in a soft whole wheat wrap – is a healthy Starbucks breakfast option. It is very palatable and is low in calories and high in protein. This is good for after exercise breakfast – a satisfying item which does not make us feel guilty.
The Chicken Ham & Cheese Panwich has chicken ham, egg and melted cheddar cheese in between fluffy buttery pancakes. It is not very photogenic but it is tasty.
Good Value Great Atmosphere
Our breakfast was a simple one but it felt rather special because of the location and the atmosphere. We thought the Starbucks breakfast sets offer great value. We could not think of a better place than Starbucks at Parkland Green which would offer us a park view, cool sea breeze and a leisurely breakfast at that price.
