Coffee & Desserts at Coexist Cafe

Coexist Coffee

We visited Coexist Coffee Co. @ LLI during its soft launch and only desserts and beverages were available. We had black coffee ($4.50) and white coffee($5) to go with a slice of Hojicha Swiss Roll ($6) and a piece of Bellini Mousse ($10).

The Hojicha Swiss Roll looked great and was enjoyable. With Hojicha Sponge Cake filled with Purple Sweet Potato and Hojicha Cream, it was rich and sweet. There was a distinct nutty roasted tea flavour.

Bellini Mousse

The Bellini looked dainty. The White Peach Mousse with Champagne Jelly and Raspberry Vanilla Sponge had a light and airy texture. The Champagne Jelly was strong enough to make us feel a little tingling on our palates. It is perhaps not a dessert for everyday but go for it when you feel like having champagne in mid day but have to abstain because you need to go back to work.

Coexist Coffee self-source and self-roast all their beans. As expected, the coffee at the cafe was well made – aromatic with nice flavourful notes.

The hip quotient of Paya Lebar must be getting a boost from the opening of Coexist Coffee Co. @ LLI. The cafe serves good coffee in a comfortable space that is aesthetically pleasing. It is big and spacious and the menu is varied enough.
