Tokyo on Top

Tokyo, Bangkok and Hong Kong secure 9 out of the top 10 spots in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list for 2024.

Tokyo

After Bangkok briefly held the top spot last year, Tokyo reclaims its crown in 2024. Sézanne (named after a medieval town in the Champagne region of France) clinched the number one spot this year. Located in the Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi and helmed by British chef Daniel Calvert, Sézanne offers immersive neo-French cuisine infused with tributes to Asia’s rich culinary cultures. Creative French-Japanese restaurant in Tokyo, Florilège, takes 2nd spot.

Bangkok boasts Gaggan Anand’s progressive Indian experience at number 3. Hong Kong takes the next 2 spots with The Chairman’s refined Cantonese fare at number 4 and Wing’s French x Chinese cuisine at number 5.

The 12th edition of the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, part of the global “World’s 50 Best” brand, is compiled by the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy. The academy comprises 318 food critics, chefs, restaurateurs, journalists and gourmets.
