Singapore’s iconic riverside destination, CQ @ Clarke Quay, has undergone a transformative makeover, culminating in its official unveiling on 26 April 2024. The revitalised complex boasts an expanded range of experiences, catering to both locals and tourists seeking daytime adventures and vibrant nightlife.
The comprehensive Asset Enhancement Initiative (AEI) began in August 2022. It focused on preserving the rich heritage and cultural legacy of Clarke Quay, while enhancing it with modern and exciting offerings. The newly unveiled CQ @ Clarke Quay has a refreshed tenant mix with over 50% featuring new international and homegrown brands. There are approximately 60 dining, retail and lifestyle concepts.
Redefining Day and Night Experiences
CQ @ Clarke Quay redefines the concept of day-and-night entertainment with three distinct zones:
- The Riverfront (Blocks A and D) offers alfresco dining and riverside experiences nestled within heritage shophouses.
- The Warehouses (Block B), a conserved godown, provides a unique blend of retail, lifestyle, and F&B concepts.
- The Circuit (Blocks C and E) pulsates with high-energy entertainment and F&B establishments.
Among the exciting new additions is Fairprice Finest Clarke Quay, offering a curated selection of products in collaboration with Singaporean partners. Its Grocer Food Hall provides an interactive food experience with “You Pick, We Cook” services and exclusive cocktails featuring local flavours.
Music lovers will be excited about Swee Lee’s largest outlet in Singapore. This experiential and community space houses a bar and café, an artist lounge, vinyl listening stations, a creator’s corner with music editing setups, and a large performance venue within a repurposed warehouse unit.
For a seamless transition from day to night, Home Singapore presents the perfect solution. Home Dawn serves delicious brunch specialties, while Home Dusk transforms into a vibrant live music lounge after sundown. Dining options abound with new establishments like IL Clay Supper Club, offering Neapolitan pizzas and bar bites by renowned Chef Ciro Sorrentino, and Jules, a French bistro by Chef Laurent Brouard.
The late-night owls are not forgotten. Señor Taco brings a taste of Mexico with its mezcal cocktails, authentic cuisine, and live Latin band. Arcade enthusiasts can level up their fun at Level Up, while K.STAR Karaoke, featuring 22 futuristic-themed rooms, and Zouk let you sing or dance the night away.
A Welcoming Space for Furry Friends
CQ @ Clarke Quay extends its warm embrace to furry companions with a comprehensive suite of pet-friendly amenities. Strategically placed hydration bays, waste bins, and designated pet parking zones ensure a comfortable visit for both pet owners and their furry companions. Eight riverside establishments welcome pets, clearly identified with pet-friendly logos for easy navigation.
Events and Activations
The coming months promise exciting events and activations at CQ @ Clarke Quay. Until 2 June, fragrance enthusiasts can indulge in the immersive CHANEL Parfumeur Masterclass: A Fragrance Experience.
May kicks off with the Singapore HeritageFest, featuring the launch of “Project Godown – Secrets of Clarke Quay” by Tribe Tours. This tour takes visitors on a time travel adventure, uncovering the stories of the iconic godowns and shophouses along the Singapore River.
