The Caffeine Experience Star Vista Cafe & The Cat Experience (TCE)

The Caffeine Experience Star Vista has a cat cafe next door. It is called the Cat Experience. Run by the same folks, they have the same acronym, TCE. Cat and coffee is an irresistible attraction. And so, that was where we headed to for coffee after our heavy Peranakan meal at Verandah @ Rael’s which is just around the corner.

The cafe part of this post is likely to be less interesting to our readers (and also to us). It has the same hip cafe look. A semi-industrial look with exposed aircon ducts and wiring, simple tables and chairs and some impressive espresso machines and coffee grinders. A fierce coffee bean roaster is also on display.

The Cat Experience Star Vista – A Maine Coon Paradise

The Star Vista cat cafe occupies the adjoining unit (#01-20). This is surely an interesting place, especially for cat lovers. One thing in particular made this cat cafe stand out from the usual cat cafe. The cats are huge! They are all or mostly Maine Coons. It also appears that some of them are prize winners as we saw many show ribbons hanging on the wall.

The big and furry cats look very affectionate and attentive to their visitors.

A lot of playground equipment was made available to the cats. Despite their large sizes, the Maine Coons were athletic animals. The high places were in demand.

Cat visits cost $8.90 and $10.90 for 20 minutes on weekdays and weekends respectively. The place can also be booked on an hourly basis at the cost of $320 (weekday) and $450 (weekend) per hour. We did not try the Cat Experience cafe. We were in the cafe and the clear glass wall in between permitted us to have a good view into the cat cafe and the cat antics.

Coffee With Cats

At the Caffeine Experience cafe, it is possible to have coffee with cats without being in the cat cafe. The tables along the glass wall get the best view. Of course touching them is only possible at the Cat Experience side.
