Sagye, known for authentic sotbap (Korean pot rice), opens a new restaurant in Wheelock Place. The new outlet offers a fresh dining experience by combining traditional Korean flavours with modern elements that reflect the changing seasons.
Sagye
“Sagye” (사계) means “four seasons” in Korean. This is reflected in the restaurant’s design and the changing menu.
The interior uses Korean architectural styles. A large screen shows seasonal images. Elements such as bamboo curtains, traditional hangari pots, and a cosy fireplace create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
What’s on the Menu
Sagye will offer a selection of new sotbap dishes available during both lunch and dinner.
New dishes include Braised King-Sized Beef Short Rib, a Wheelock-exclusive dish, slow-cooked and marinated. Another exclusive offering is the Netflix-Inspired Culinary Class Wars Dongpo Rou. Sagye’s interpretation of this fusion dish features the velvety texture of braised pork paired with a house-made sauce that balances sweet and savoury flavours.
Sagye continues to offer its signature stone pot rice, including a vegetarian option. The dinner menu also features high-quality beef, including USDA Prime beef and Japan F1 Wagyu beef.
The new Sagye Korean restaurant at Wheelock is a great dining destination for a hearty pot rice dish or a sizzling Korean BBQ experience.
