Hawkers’ Street Tang Plaza is the star attraction at the renovated new basement of Tangs Orchard. The homeware department has been moved upstairs and the basement has been transformed into a large (mostly) food and beverage destination. Here are the hawkers featured together with indicative food menus and prices.

New Tangs Basement Food Court
With the homeware department move to the higher floors, the home appliances, bed linen and kitchen tools are no longer at the Tangs basement. The large space is now taken over by mostly f & b outlets with some wellness vendors still on this floor. A large part of the basement is taken up by the Hawkers’ Street Tang Plaza. This is similar to the Hawker Street at Ion Orchard where a collection of curated hawkers had been assembled, except that this one at Tangs is much larger.

There are other food offerings in the new Tangs basement apart from the occupants of Hawker Street. Food brands such as Andy’s Pie, Dough Magic, Kang Ji Sugar Coated Fruits and Momolato complement the hawker food selection.
Hawkers’ Street Tang Plaza

Just like us, many Tangs visitors were drawn to the hawker street setting for the new basement food court. It is a big departure from the previous Tangs food court in terms of variety and layout.

The planners must have done a good job in setting up the new Hawkers’ Street Tang Plaza as it was quite crowded when we were there near dinner time on a weekday. On this visit we had a quick look at the stalls at Hawkers’ Street Tang Plaza together with the food menu and prices.
