Restaurants open during Chinese New Year Day 1 and Day 2

Many Singaporeans and visitors will be seeking dining options during the Chinese New Year (CNY) holidays. The first day of CNY falls on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, which is a public holiday, with an additional holiday on 18 February. While many establishments traditionally give their staff a break during the lunar new year festive period, there is still a good selection of restaurants open during 2026 Chinese New Year Day 1 and Day 2, catering to a variety of tastes and budgets. Dining options range from Michelin-starred restaurants and traditional Chinese eateries to hotel dining establishments and casual cafés, and include vegetarian and halal options.

Here are a few options across different parts of Singapore – Central, East, North, North-East and West. We hope this can serve as a handy guide when you are looking for a meal, wherever you may be in our island, especially in areas of Singapore you might not be so familiar with.
