Korean restaurant brand Sagye has opened Sagye Lite at Westgate, bringing everyday pot rice to Jurong East.
The new outlet is the third location for Sagye after Tanjong Pagar Road and Wheelock Place. Sagye Lite offers a quicker and more affordable menu whilst maintaining the brand’s flavour profile.
The new restaurant serves 11 varieties of sotbap-inspired pot rice starting from $12.90. All dishes are cooked to order and come with free-flow house-made banchan.
Popular items include Grilled Pork Belly Pot Rice and Grilled Chicken Pot Rice. Both feature meats marinated in soy-based sauce blended with fruit purée. The Spicy Chicken with Three Cheese pot rice includes mozzarella, parmesan and aged cheddar.
Vegetarian options are available. The Grilled Eggplant and Three Mushroom Pot Rice uses shiitake, king oyster and white shimeji mushrooms. The Truffle Egg White Seafood with Mushroom Pot Rice combines egg whites with seafood and subtle truffle notes.
Premium choices include the Signature Beef Short Rib Pot Rice and F1 Japanese Wagyu Striploin Pot Rice from the original Sagye menu.
Beyond pot rice, the menu features Korean comfort dishes including kimchi stew, spicy beef soup, pancakes and fried chicken. Sagye Lite also offers takeaway and bento options with a minimum order of five sets for office gatherings.
