A new three-in-one concept, Harvest Union Market, has officially opened at Thomson Plaza. The venue combines a café and bar with a premium produce mart and a seasonal durian corner.

Founded by Terence Chan, a former teacher with the Ministry of Education (MOE), Harvest Union Market aims to serve as a community hub. Mr Chan transitioned from education into wholesale food distribution before launching this venture. His background in logistics and sourcing is reflected in the retail component of the business, Afresh & Co.
Located on level 1 of Thomson Plaza at Upper Thomson Road, the venue features both indoor and alfresco seating. It caters to both the mall’s shoppers and the surrounding residential estate.
The 3-in-1 concept features a Cafe/Bar, Afresh & Co boutique provisions store and a Durian corner featuring seasonal durians during the durian season.
The integrated “boutique provisions store,” Afresh & Co, sells curated seasonal fruits and premium produce. A dedicated corner also offers various durian varieties, including Black Thorn and Black Gold, depending on the season.
For those looking for a new restaurant in Singapore with a focus on community and quality ingredients, Harvest Union Market provides a functional alternative to more traditional dining outlets. Its late closing time and hybrid nature make it suitable for breakfast, afternoon tea or late-night gatherings.
Cafe/Bar Menu Highlights
The kitchen focuses on hearty comfort food. A signature item is the Fish & Chips. The menu also includes:
- Pesto Primo: A pasta dish made with homemade pesto genovese and topped with shaved cheese.
- Fish Nuggets: Described as crisp on the outside and tender on the inside.
- Local Infusions: A “Durian Latte” made with fresh Mao Shan Wang pulp.
- Desserts: Various durian-inspired sweets and seasonal fruit selections.
The cafe offers two daily happy hour sessions from 2 pm to 6 pm and 9 pm to 12 midnight. During these times, two pints of Asahi Draft Beer are priced at $16.
