Tutto by Da Paolo is a new Italian restaurant at One Holland Village. It takes over the ground floor space vacated by Prive Holland Village. With bold splashes of yellow in both the exterior as well as interior, the new casual eatery adds a breath of fresh air to the popular shopping mall in Holland V.

The New Italian Restaurant at One Holland Village
According to the restaurant website, Tutto by Da Paolo at One Holland Village is a cosy Italian restaurant where you can savour fresh homemade pasta and hand-stretched pizzas prepared daily on site. It is said to offer a range of classic Italian dishes, the true taste of Italy to everyone.

Our first impressions were good. They have succeeded in creating a cosy restaurant atmosphere. But in the interior, we felt more American diner vibes rather than Italian. But comfortable nonetheless.

The splashes of yellow from the exterior is repeated indoors – from the lamp shades to the coffee machine and pizza oven. The colour really helped to brighten up the place.

We would associate scissors and tongs with Korean restaurants, but these were provided in this new Italian restaurant at Holland Village – in yellow of course!

Tutto by Da Paolo Menu
Here is a picture of the Tutto by Da Paolo restaurant menu. Pasta and pizza items make up most of the food choices. A few starters and dessert items complete the food menu. There are no pricey meat or fish items here. All the dishes are priced below $30 each.

Our Italian homemade pasta and hand-stretched pizza lunch
We selected one item from each of the antipasti, home made pasta and pizza Neapolitan sections of the menu. What was surprising was the efficiency of the Tutto by Da Paolo kitchen, All the dishes were prepared and served within 15 minutes of our order being made via the QR code ordering system.

The first to arrive was the Margherita pizza ($16++). The Tottu Neapolitan pizzas are described as “hand-stretched and made with 100% Italian flour, fermented for 72 hours to achieve a light, airy, and perfectly crisp crust.” The crust was indeed very thin and the edges swelled up very nicely. Eat quickly before the crispiness turns to chewiness, making the edge rather hard to break. That is when the scissors and tongs combination came in handy. With the simple Margherita pizza we could taste the doughy flavour of the crust. I think this is better than having any complicated toppings on a good pizza.

The other two dishes arrived soon after the pizza. Polpette al Sugo ($16, picture above) was a dish of three beef meatballs in tomato sauce. We liked the rich beef taste of the meat balls. The grated cheese was (thankfully) not very strong in flavour and added some complexity to the taste of the dish.

Our third dish was Ragù di Pollo ($19, picture above). It was a campanelle pasta dish prepared with chicken ragù slow-cooked in herbs and white wine. We thought that this was a rather bland dish. The dish was adequate for two persons, leaving no room for dessert. Overall, a pleasant lunch in a cosy restaurant.
