La Dame de Pic Raffles Singapore is three-Michelin-starred French chef Anne-Sophie Pic’s debut entry into Asia. The $128 ++ lunch menu is the most afforable way to dine at La Dame de Pic Singapore. It is available only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (excluding public holidays).
Food in Downtown Singapore
We decided to have a quiet Monday night dinner at a top Chinese restaurant in Singapore, Wah Lok at Carlton Hotel. It is a popular restaurant at lunch when dim sum is served, especially on weekends. Dinner time is quieter, especially on a Monday night.
The hotel may not be big but there are separate Capitol Kempinski restaurants that focus on Thai, German, Spanish, Italian, Singapore, American, European and Japanese cuisines. It is an interesting place to eat near City Hall MRT, especially for lunch on a rainy day in Singapore.
Katachi Style Sushi at the retail part of the Capitol Kempinski Hotel is a good-looking Japanese restaurant. With a convenient underground connection to the City Hall MRT station, we were able to get there for lunch without getting wet by the heavy rain.
When you are at a place named Kueh & Mee, what else can you eat other than kueh & mee? So when we were at Kueh & Mee All Day Kafe at Republic Plaza, we had Indonesian kuehs and mee siam; as well as coffee and toast (which is the name of another eatery in Raffles Link actually).
Odette Singapore restaurant at the National Gallery has won a lot of accolades in the short span of five years. From zero to three Michelin Stars. Unfortunately prices seemed to keep pace with the awards. We had almost given up hope of dining there. Until recently.
