Travel to South Korea remains a popular choice for many Singaporeans. Seoul’s café scene is a major attraction, driven by aesthetic interiors and creative themed experiences. However, rising airfares may make frequent trips to Seoul more difficult. Fortunately, Noci Bakehouse has opened in Suntec City to bring that Korean café aesthetic and charm to downtown Singapore.

A Slice of Seoul in Suntec City

Goldmoon Group, the South Korean company behind Noci Pasta Bar, has opened this new bakery-café. You can find Noci Bakehouse tucked away in the Tower 3 atrium of the sprawling Suntec City Mall.

The shop features two entrances. One is located inside the mall, while the other opens onto the promenade facing the Fountain of Wealth. Viewed from the outside, the bakery looks like a shop in a quaint building in a Seoul neighbourhood.

The interior design features whitewashed brick walls, warm timber chairs and wooden floors. In one corner, an antique-style dresser holds branded mugs and fluffy lamb toys. A white faux fireplace serves as a focal point and a popular backdrop for photos. Overall, the space offers a rustic, European country house feel with a touch of Korean aesthetics.

The bakery-café offers several distinct seating areas for diners. A few tables face the interior of the mall, but the most popular spots are located near the external glass frontage. These seats allow you to look out the large windows for a clear view of the open-air promenade and the Fountain of Wealth. On a sunny day, natural light pours into this section, making it a very plesant “work from home” spot or a place to sit and watch the world go by.

Savoury bakes and all-day dining

The bakehouse produces its artisanal goods in an on-site kitchen, ensuring a steady supply of fresh items. You can see trays of salt bread, pastries and croissants coming out of the kitchen throughout the day.

The bakery-café has a central display area with rows of pastries behind glass shelves. The selection includes their signature golden salt breads, bagels, croissants and madeleines. Customers can browse the shelves to select their preferred bakes before heading to the counter to pay. This straightforward system caters to both those looking for a quick takeaway and those who like to enjoy the pastries in the café.
Noci Bakehouse functions as an all-day dining destination rather than just a bakery. It offers a breakfast set from 8:30am to 11:30am. After that, the menu shifts to all-day brunch, soups, and salads.
Bagel sandwiches are a main feature of the savoury menu. Diners can choose from fillings like roasted chicken, smoked salmon, or egg mayo. For those with a sweet tooth, the French toast comes in Korean-style variations, such as banana brûlée.
The drink selection includes standard lattes and Americanos. Additionally, it offers signature cream coffees and Korean fruit lattes.
Brunch at Noci Bakehouse
Noci Bakehouse operates as a self-service establishment. After placing orders and making payment at the counter, diners receive a buzzer to alert them when their items are ready for collection. A self-service station provides water for all guests, and patrons are expected to clear their own tables by returning trays to the designated point.
We sampled several items – Egg Mayo Sandwich ($11.50), Mentaiko Salted Bread ($6.80) and Latte ($6.00).

The bagel was split in two to show a thick, creamy filling. The egg mayo was mixed with corn, adding a slight sweetness and crunch. The bread remained soft but firm enough to hold the generous amount of filling. It was a simple dish that focuses on balanced seasoning and was tasty and enjoyable.

Salted bread is a signature item here. The top of the Mentaiko Salted Bread was covered in a layer of caramelised cheese that crackled when bitten. Inside, the bread was soft and buttery. The mentaiko added a light savoury flavour that did not overpower the bread.

The coffee was smooth and of the expected standard.

A space for slowing down

Noci Bakehouse offers a wide rotating selection of high-quality bakes. While the all-day brunch menu is not extensive, it provides sufficient variety for a balanced light meal. This new bakery-café serves as a versatile destination, suitable for a quick weekday breakfast or a leisurely weekend catch-up. Solo diners may enjoy the seating near the windows, which offers a peaceful vantage point. For those who like the atmosphere of Korean cafés, Noci Bakehouse provides a convincing local alternative without the need for a flight to Seoul.
