Jellyfish Sushi at New Bahru

Chef Bjorn Shen has launched Jellyfish Sushi at Artichoke in New Bahru.
The 10-seat counter takes a non-traditional approach to sushi. Dishes include bread sushi, risotto sushi and Vietnamese summer roll sushi. Jellyfish builds on Shen’s earlier Bread Sushi concept from Small’s restaurant. The menu features fish paired with unexpected ingredients. Examples include sea urchin with scrambled eggs and parmesan on charred bread.

The menu has up to 12 courses and costs $165 per person. It will change every few months.

Elephant Grounds at Guoco Midtown
The Hong Kong cafe is known for house-roasted specialty coffee and all-day dining. The new Elephant Grounds at Guoco Midtown operates as a roastery, bakery and restaurant.

The Singapore outlet is the second globally to feature an on site production kitchen with a dedicated baking team. Fresh breads, pastries and croissants will be baked throughout the day. The signature croissant uses a non-traditional lamination technique combining French and Japanese methods. Varieties include chocolate, almond and banoffee.
Coffee beans are sourced from Ijen Lestari, a Cup of Excellence-winning farm in East Java, and roasted in-house. The OG Blend is available as whole beans, drip bags and capsules. The drinks menu also includes premium matcha, teas and alcoholic options.

Food offerings span all day brunch items such as shakshuka served with toasted sourdough, chorizo and feta, or a plant-based version with tofu and zucchini. Pancakes come with maple syrup or wild berries. The açai yoghurt bowl features Founders’ Granola made with rolled oats, dried apricots and maple syrup.
