The varied & exciting dining options of Plaza Singapura restaurants and food places make the shopping mall a food paradise in Orchard Road. There are many casual affordable restaurants & cafes offering a wide variety of cuisines.
You can find kiosks selling take-aways like Korean fried chicken and British fish & chips and casual diners like Lokkee, Arteastiq, Nam Nam and Bangkok Jam, as well as Michelin-starred Hong Kong dim sum restaurant Tim Ho Wan. Local and regional cuisines are well represented. Al fresco dining, local and international coffee chains and a spiffy looking food court add to the allure of Plaza Singapura as a dining destination.
It has been years since our original story about the restaurants of Star Vista. It is now 2018 and this is an updated 2018 compilation of Star Vista restaurants. To assist our readers in deciding what to eat at Star Vista, we have added new pictures of menus and lunch time offers (if we have them). For a complete list of restaurants please refer to the official Star Vista Website.
Star Vista is an extra-ordinary building which is a collaboration between Singapore’s leading developer and a church. Essentially, it is a 5,000 seat auditorium perched on top of three levels of restaurants and retail stores. The picture above shows the futuristic auditorium. The picture below shows the eating and shopping space.
A recent article in the Straits Times “New hawker centre in Pasir Ris to have modern hipster stalls alongside traditional ones“ (ST 6 Sep 2017) reported that Singapore’s latest food court combines traditional and modern cuisine to attract a new generation of hawkers and also to provide a social place for people to gather. The lines between, hawker centre, food court and restaurants are getting blurred at these hip and cool dining places. As of now, here are some other hipster food courts in Singapore that might fit this description.
One of the dictionary definitions of “Hub” is “the central or main part of something where there is most activity“. There is little doubt that Our Tampines Hub (OTH) is going to be the central part of Tampines with the most activity. There is so much to see and do in OTH.
In Singapore, most activities will involve food in some way. A good array of Restaurants, Cafes & Other Food Places Our Tampines Hub should ensure that those going to OTH – whether to watch a game, visit government agencies, participate in sports or window shop – will have no lack of food options.
Essen at the Pinnacle is a collection of food stalls in an air-conditioned space, food court style. Here you can find French cuisine by Garçons, innovative burgers by Burger Buddies, fried chicken wings by Two Wings, Italian food by La Stalla, Thai and Vietnamese fare by Viethai and a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, especially beers and ciders. Essen is located on the ground floor of the 50-storey Pinnacle at Duxton, the most impressive HDB project in Singapore so far. Do note that because it is a huge project, locating Essen at the Pinnacle can be a challenge. We suggest you head towards the part that is closest to Craig Road which runs in front of the restaurant.
