Our roasted ribeye lunch at Marche Movenpick @ Jem, Jurong East

Our readers who live or work at Jurong East may wish to set their lunch radar to include Marche Movenpick @ Jem Shopping mall. We think their $9.90 lunches are generally not bad but on the days that ribeye is on the lunch menu,  it may be the best deal you can currently find in Jurong East, if not the whole Singapore. Different dishes are prepared for their lunch special each day and it seems that Thursday is roasted ribeye day (but do check first because they seem to change their items regularly).  The menu is available online and the link to their website appears below.

I think many of us are familiar with Marche Movenpick as they have many outlets all over Singapore.  We are very fond of going to the Jem and Westgate cluster for lunch as there are so many good value lunch deals on offer. You can click on the “Westgate” tag to see all our lunch experiences.  Despite the close competition, we think that the Thursday ribeye lunch at Marche Movenpick is the best we have tried in the area and elsewhere.

As you can see, a different set of three items are available for the lunch.  Forget about the other lunch items, the roasted ribeye which we had was really good. We also saw some people eating their huge pizzas which are oval in shape and look delicious, and so have included their regular pizza menu in case you are interested.

The ribeye that was served was probably cooked medium-well. It was probably a 200+ g of ribeye.  Buying a similar cut of raw beef from the supermarket these days will cost you this kind of money.  Much better to come here and have it all done up for you, with mashed potato and salad thrown in.  Not as flavourful as those gourmet steaks that have been aged, but very decent beef nonetheless. This one dish lunch at Marche Movenpick @ Jem was good enough for us and we were happy to adjourn elsewhere for coffee.  If you like, you can pay an additional $6.90 for a soup, a drink and ice-cream or coffee.
