Parklane Zha Yun Tun Mee House is a wanton noodles stall known for their deep fried and crispy wantons. It occupies 2 shop units on the ground level of Sunshine Plaza. The place looks basic and even a little messy. The red plastic stools don’t look like the most comfortable seats. Yet Parklane Zha Yun Tun Mee House is probably the busiest shop in the whole of Sunshine Plaza.
Parklane Zha Yun Tun Mee House has its menu on its main display board as well as on its wall. It essentially sells noodles and hor fun topped with char siew, pork chop, fish cutlet, fried chicken, chicken feet or wantons. Instead of noodles, you can also have rice. There are a few side dishes available like vegetables and you tiaos.
We ordered their signature Fried Wanton Noodles ($4.50), Pork Chop Noodles ($4.50) and a side dish of Oyster Sauce Vegetables ($5). The food is cooked to order so be prepared to wait for a while. We were there before the lunch time crowd arrived and there were only a few other customers ahead of us. Yet, we had to wait about 15 minutes for our food.
The Fried Wanton Noodles came with crispy wantons, char siew and vegetables in dark soya sauce. The deep fried wantons were thin and crispy – not much in terms of substance but they were tasty. The char siew was the traditional dyed red version and was a little on the sweet side. The noodles were good – springy, slightly hard to the bite and not sticky. The dark sauce added a nice flavour to the noodles. It was a simple dish but the crispy wantons and the well cooked noodles made it an enjoyable one.
The Pork Chop Noodles were basically the same as the Fried Wanton Noodles with the wantons replaced by fried pork chops. The thin pork chops were a tad dry and not as flavourful as we expected them to be. Have the pork chops if you prefer a substantial portion of meat with your noodles. Otherwise, stick with the Fried Wanton Noodles as the wanton have meagre fillings but the wantons are definitely more delicious compared to the pork chops.
The vegetables were fresh and crunchy. Often we just eat vegetables because mom says so or we need to soothe our conscience. So we surprised ourselves when we thought that the vegetables at Parklane Zha Yun Tun Mee House actually tasted as good as they looked.
Overall, we would say that Parklane Zha Yun Tun Mee House serves good wanton noodles. The noodles were very well cooked and had good texture. Their signature dish of Fried Wanton Noodles, with deep fried crispy wantons, is among the better versions of wanton noodles we had tried.

standard drop drastically after my visit today on 24 Oct 17. Not at all worth your search for this. Could not even compared to the stalls at neighbourhood.
This is my first visit today to try the food Parklane Zha Yun Tun Mee House #01-53 at Sunshine Plaza. The China lady staff wearing purple shirt uniform has very bad attitude serving customers. Very disappointed and will never go back again!
